These days it pays to have a Christmas jumper. You can wear with pride on national Christmas jumper day (18th December) and donate to Save the Children.
However tacky the sparkly knit is, there is now a licence to wear it. Its cool, not naff (however naff it is). Everyone from baby to grannie can wear one. For me, the cheaper the better and its the perfect 'throw' on to wear for your dog walk at Christmas before you put your posh frock on.
Here's me in my tacky one bought in Primark last year. It just made me roar with laughter and I'm sure it will make you chuckle too. As my mother says ' You can't be too sophisticated at Christmas' and this one does the trick. It will add laughter to the family chaos and fizzle out any awkward silences.
This year, I've opted for an more subtle sparkling number from H&M. A big sparkling heart that says 'I love'. I've teamed mine with black skinnies, spotty shirt and boots and wore it for the Primary School's Carol service. H&M has done a good selection of these pretty, more subtle numbers - a reindeer, mistletoe and penguins - at £14.99 its defiantly worth a go to get into Christmas spirit. I love everything about Christmas and I think I'll probably wear this at Valentines too!
