Be Brave. Be Bold in Boudavida

IMG_0127.jpg

As an ambassador for all things bright (and bonkers) I was thrilled to ask to blog for Boudavida’s new AW17 leisure wear range. I’ve been wearing Boudavida since the spring (you may have seen my Instagram feeds #fitnessfriday – it’s so glam it’s the only leisure wear I will allow myself to wear all day).

Boudavida (inspired by the legend Queen Boudicca) is about giving strength, power and confidence to women to ‘get out there’ and exercise.  But, let’s face it, the first fight we have is combatting the style of our amour before we confront that Pilates class.

Thankfully Boudavida has produced kit to make us feel fabulous, so the struggle of running up the road is easier to climb.

Be Bold Be Brave. I mean – we all want to be, don’t we? That’s what we continually tell our friends, our daughters our love ones. So here I am styling myself in this creative colourful kit saying, you can wear it too.

Be bold with colour and its half the battle to feeling brilliant.

ZIG ZAGS & SLOGAN T’S

Zig Zag Zoom Leggings  (£72) .wow! Too bold? No, be brave.

I can tell you why. They are a gorgeous mix of rich jeweled colours –you’ve black, berry, orange and turquoise so lots to play around with styling your top half. Also, the graphic zig zag pattern really works on shapely women as the print is very flattering (says the 5ft nothing shapely size 10!)

For my first look, I teamed the leggings with the pow tank plum slogan vest top (£55). Slogan t’s?  (yes, I know your daughters are wearing them!)  but this one has a grown-up logo and the slogan is inspiring to wear to give off good vibes to all around you. The shape is a relaxed fit, so it sits perfectly over the tummy and hips and has flattering dropped arm holes so you can see the matching vest top underneath.

The feel of these leggings are fabulous. They have a higher waist so the band sits just above your belly button (avoiding any overhang and you can neatly tuck your tummy in) They are created from a very lightweight material and have mesh paneling so makes them breathable and a touch of edgy cool. The overlook feel is functional but funky.

Styled here with my big leather boots and shades.

SWAGGER TEE

So, if you’re not convinced on the slogan tee – try the swagger tee (£65). This is a big favourite of mine. The cut of this cover up is so flattering. A wide neck line so you can show off your décolletage and also reveal a bit of print from the vest underneath. I’ve worked out in this top, ran in it, but also confidentially met a friend for a coffee in it. I love the mix of colours.  The slate grey on the top half and the berry below to marry up with the leggings (and to cover up one’s bottom when I do school run!) Just love this look.

 POW TANK in ORANGE
To show you how versatile these leggings are I’ve teamed them with the pow tank in orange (£55). The same shape as the slogan tee but in this vibrant colour – great for winter months but will also carry through to the summer.

This time, I felt confident enough to knot the vest to reveal the Boudavida band and who would have thought orange and berry went so well together? The leggings allow me to wear my puffer and orange vest as a combination. The overall look being bold but very stylish.

SOFTLY DOES IT
So, if Zig Zag print isn’t your thing then the zoom leggings in the leaf print  (£72) may suit you more. The print is so pretty and again Boudavida has offered a great combination of colours so you can play around with the collection. The shape and function is exactly the same as the Zig Zag so has the mesh and contrast turquoise seam.

Here I’ve teamed the leggings with the dynamo vest  (£50) in this vibrant turquoise (but the swagger tee worn before would also compliment them beautifully)

And for me, I like to add that fashion twist so I’ve teamed it with my own super duvet coat by ASOS (£65) and given it that street style edge. (the cover up is not only warm but elevates the beautiful turquoise colour)

The dynamo vest comes in black and white. It’s such a great vest that is cut beautifully at the back.

I love this combination with the black vest on top as the cut really allows the sports bra to peak through.

And for outside. I’ve added the amazing spark jacket in grey (£150). Not only does this look fabulous but it is water resistant and created in a stretch fabric so you can run in this in the rain (which I do very of often at 6.30am with my dog!).

Styling wise, its contrast zip in plum works perfectly with the colours of the leaf print leggings.

Convinced? I hope so. I really think this new collection is worth investigating. Invest now, build your confidence and your collection. Exercising is worth the battle in Boudavida!
