Last weeks outing to London Fashion Week Festival was certainly an inspired day out.
A fashion field trip, in a basement bunker, filled with clothes, coffee, champagne and catwalk shows.
I loved talking to new brands, meeting brands I’d met on instagram and socialising with lots stylists..all in all a great day out.
A bunker full of designer rails, make-up, hair demos and new brands.
Fell in love with this brand of earrings Rosa Pietsch - based in Bristol. she ships everywhere and they are beautifully wrapped.
Enjoyed meeting the ace Never Fully Dressed team and finally feeling those sexy dresses.
I had access to two catwalk show and sat on the FROW (front row darling!) First up was a by the ethical and political designer Katherine Hamnett - the show was effortless ‘easy dressing’ utility wear. Think hoodies, t-shirts, simple coats and puffers with slogans. I loved the energy and it got me excited about wearing a tracksuit with heels and hoodies with blazers ..very 90’s..
Political statement t-shirts, silky dresses/heels/hoodies/cotton coats.
A simplistic style that speaks volumes.
AW Trend Show
The AW trends show focussing was split into 3 key trends.
Check Mates - go checks, go tartan, go plaids, go mix it all up in a punky funky grungy fashion.
Prints Charming - go floral, go head to toe bold abstract print in a variety of colours with a big 70’s retro feel.
Prim & Prom trend. This was a disco nod to 90’s and 80’s prom. Lots of sequins, bold bright silks blouses, shoulder pads, ruffles, metallics. Certain to inspire your xmas party look this winter.
