Boardroom Style Event
Last week I hosted a Style Event in the City for 30 Lawyers, Partners & Clients for Simmons & Simmons Law Firm. I love presenting events like this and inspiring women to be a little more adventurous with their style.
The event was held at City Point. Although I had presented in this building before the audience was new. Despite working in the same business each and every women was dressed differently and had their own style - which I loved. Some were edgy, some classic, some bold some feminine. It was a great mix of wonderful women in the workplace.
They were hungry to learn more about what to wear and how to style it this season.
I brought my trusty rail and mannequins and styled up a gigantic board table.
Each person had a Style Dilemma Card, a Secret Stylist Coat hanger and I collaborated with Somerset Perfumer Catelier to hand make 30 bespoke wardrobe scent bags made out of vintage silk scarves. Look how beautiful they are! The room smelt so good.
I talked new spring summer colours, stripes and holiday styling, modern classics to wear at work and talked how to choose this season green carefully to suit their complexion. All shopped, rehearsed from my colour lounge and carefully packed in my suitcases.
The room was buzzing! I opened up the room for questions and all felt comfortable to quiz me on my expertise.
I wore a trusty comfortable crepe dress by Jigsaw with a long waistcoat over the top and heeled cream boots to add some modern edge. I added some giant floral earrings by Zara and had my hair curled in Somerset early that day. I felt smart, comfortable and polished with a little Natasha twist.
I left with a big smile on my face and stayed in the most fabulous boutique hotel just around the corner called Sun Street Hotel. The interiors were absolutely stunning. If you are ever staying in the city stay here!
